Marketing & Communications Officer

We are recruiting for an experienced Marketing & Communications Officer to support with overall company brand awareness and positioning activities, promotion of our products and services to consumer and B2B target audiences and ensure effective engagement with multiple stakeholders.

The role has a broad marketing and communications remit and as such requires the role holder to also have broad experience, not just knowledge, in these areas. The role is part time (25 hours) over 5 days per week (Monday – Friday) and is based at the company’s head office in Belper, Derbyshire.

Principal duties 

  • Undertake a range of activities and projects across the full spectrum of the marcomms mix including (but not exhaustively) advertising, PR, digital, direct marketing, sales promotion, social media, events, collateral
  • Develop and generate relevant content (written, visual, audio) and assets for use in marketing and communications
  • Write creative and well messaged copy for news releases, branded collateral and literature, website, newsletters etc
  • Updating and daily management of the website by proficiently using the CMS (the ideal candidate will also have some coding experience) and keeping track of sales leads generated online
  • Organisation of company hosted and attended events
  • Daily management of the CRM system and production of business reports to aid marketing and sales planning
  • Media relations and related duties
  • Social media content planning, posting and monitoring, identifying opportunities and risks arising from social activity swiftly
  • Inputting into the development of new product and service propositions and packages with associated pricing and promotional planning
  • Stakeholder communications
  • Marcomms monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness
  • Keeping record of marcomms spend and activity against the plan and budget

About you

Demonstrated experience in a similar role with broad marketing, brand and communications experience. Educated to degree level in a business or marketing related discipline and ideally with a marketing and/or communications qualification. Capable of working with initiative to a defined direction and plan and possess a proactive attitude and work ethic with the desire to deliver first class work and service. Experience within the automotive or engineering sectors advantageous but not essential.

Vehicle Production Technician

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Production Technician to support the manufacture and development of current and future Bowler vehicles.

Principal duties

  • Assembly of new Bowler vehicles for road and race applications
  • Development and assembly/manufacture of bespoke new vehicles for specialist applications
  • Repair, service and maintenance of bespoke Bowler vehicles
  • Installation of bespoke Bowler upgrades and conversions to Land Rover Defenders, including repair, service and maintenance of Defenders

About you

Demonstrated experience in a similar role as a vehicle technician, preferably with Jaguar Land Rover and/or 4×4 vehicle experience. Experience in other vehicle marques, including classic restoration/rebuild would also be an advantage. Capable of working with minimal supervision and possess a proactive attitude and work ethic with the desire to deliver first class work and service to customers.

Electrical / Electronic Engineer

We are recruiting for an Electrical / Electronic Engineer to support the development of present and future Bowler vehicles.

Principal duties

  • Development of vehicle electronic hardware systems / architecture
  • Use of Jaguar Land Rover electronics hardware and software, interfacing with third party vehicle controllers, developing and using Bowler CAN based software
  • Scope covering current vehicle manufacture and new vehicles in development
  • Support vehicle builds and issue resolution using CAN based diagnostics. This will include support for off-site demonstrations / race events supporting remotely or on site as needed
  • Some co-ordination of existing team direction / strategy, but not a team leadership position
  • Oversee development of wiring / harness specifications
  • Knowledge of programming / diagnostics tools such as ASL, CANalyser, VeSys & RaptorCal
  • Some support for coding / Matlab, but not primary task (existing software engineer in team)

About you

The ideal candidate will be a graduate in a relevant discipline with experience in vehicle electrical architecture, implementation of hardware systems into vehicles using a combination of OEM and third party hardware controllers using CAN communication. Previous experience of JLR vehicle electrical/electronic architecture is desirable. Capable of working with minimal supervision and possess a proactive attitude and work ethic with the desire to deliver first class work and service.
